I won this book as part of the Goodreads first-read program.
The book is about a boy, whose father brings him into this world to be a cancer on society. At eleven the boy's father promises to show him evil so that he may carry on the family line of cancers, people who destroy happiness.
The book was at times tough to read, but the may issues it brings up I found interesting. Nature or nurture? If you are raised by evil to be evil do you have a choice? Is it evil to take a life if it means saving so many more?
The book was not what I was expecting. I thought it was more of a crime novel, but it addressed some very important issues and made me think. I would definitely recommend it.
